How the Course Works

Based on your form, you'll be matched with a teacher who assesses your level together with you on a short call. No cost, no commitment yet.

👥 3. Get placed in the right group, then confirm and pay

Once you're placed in a group at your level, you confirm your spot and pay to register. You choose one semester (36 classes) or two (72 classes).

💻 4. Meet twice a week on Zoom

Semester 1 runs September 28th to February 2027. If you sign up for two semesters, Semester 2 follows straight after, running February to June/July 2027. Small groups mean real speaking time, not just listening.

This course is designed for speakers of Slavic languages, such as Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian, Czech etc., who already have a solid foundation in Polish and can speak comfortably about basic topics such as their daily routine, interests, food and other everyday matters.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to discuss work, education, health, relationships, culture, technology, the environment and social issues, express and justify opinions, describe experiences, and communicate more naturally and confidently in Polish.

A1

This course is designed for speakers of Slavic languages, such as Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian, Czech etc., who are starting to learn Polish. Thanks to similarities between Polish and other Slavic languages, you can make quick progress from the very beginning. We focus on practical communication, while also highlighting similarities and differences between Polish and your native language.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to introduce yourself, talk about your life, hobbies, plans, travel and housing, handle shopping and cafés, and communicate confidently in everyday Polish.

This course is designed for speakers of Slavic languages, such as Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian, Czech etc., who already have some basic knowledge of Polish, i.e. is able to introduce yourself, ask and answer basic questions, and talk briefly about familiar topics such as your family, work and daily routine.

By the end of the course, you will be able to talk about topics such as biographies, pets, your favourite films and books, household chores, friendship and love, gadgets, holidays and the internet.

Veronika Ismylova

Veronika has 8 years of experience teaching Polish and completed postgraduate studies in this field. She loves working with people and the constant learning that comes with teaching. She’s a logic-lover who sees language as a system – and she’s all about lists, charts, and infographics.

  • When you register for a course, the first step is a short placement call with one of our teachers.
    They’ll listen to your needs, check your level, and help you join the right group before the course begins.

  • We start with more English, especially at A0, then shift into Polish as soon as you're ready for it. Your teacher will always be able to support you in English when it genuinely helps, but the goal is to teach as much as possible in Polish, when you don’t need English anymore.

  • 4 - 8 students

    Most groups run with 6 students. A group needs at least 4 to start, and we'll occasionally go up to 8 if we think an extra person is a good match for that group's level and pace.

  • We open a group if there are at least 4 students, with a maximum of 8.

    If fewer than 4 people sign up for this course, we can’t open the group and anyone who paid will receive a full refund.

  • All lessons take place live on Zoom. In between we’ll use emails for communicating with our participants, and folders on Google Drive to share materials from the classes with you.

  • A stable internet connection, Zoom, a notebook, and something to write with.

  • You can pay via Stripe using a bank card, PayPal, or BLIK.
    Instalments are available with card or PayPal.

  • Instalment payments are made by credit or debit card or PayPal (BLIK isn't available for instalments), processed through our payment provider, Stripe. The first payment happens the day you confirm your registration and provide your card or PayPal details, this sets up a 5-month or 10-month subscription that charges automatically on that same date each month, ending after the final payment.

  • If you know you’ll be absent, tell your teacher in advance.
    We can record the lesson for you on request if all other participants consent.
