📘 B1 State Exam Preparation
(for April 2026)
A focused, intensive course that teaches you how to pass the official Polish B1 exam - structure, strategy, writing, speaking, and a full mock exam.
This is not a course that teaches Polish at B1 level.
It is only for learners who already are at B1 and want to prepare specifically for the 25–26 April exam.
Your first step is the admission task: a handwritten “podanie”.

Who This Course Is For
This course is for you if:
• you already speak Polish at B1 level
• you want to take the official state B1 exam in April
• you need a clear plan, structure, and strategy to pass
• you want regular writing practice with feedback
• you want to understand exactly what the examiners expect
This is not a general Polish course - it’s a preparation program for learners who already meet the B1 standard and want to pass the exam with confidence.
What We Do in Class
Every week you’ll have two focused lessons (90 minutes each) including:
Exam-style writing practice with clear structures and models
• Grammar revision only in areas that matter for the exam
• Speaking practice: how to answer questions fully and correctly
• Analysis of typical exam tasks and scoring rules
• Step-by-step guidance on how to build B1-level texts
• Regular feedback on your writing, phrasing, and accuracy
You’ll also receive:
a weekly writing task (required) with detailed corrections
• sample listening and reading tasks to complete independently
• access to all materials provided by the teachers
Toward the end of the course, you’ll take a full mock exam covering listening, reading, writing, and speaking — so the real exam day feels familiar and manageable.
How the Course Works
✍️ 1. You start by submitting your handwritten “podanie”
Before joining, you must write a short text (around 170 words):
• Who are you?
• Why do you want to take the B1 exam?
Write it by hand, take a photo, and upload it through the form.
No AI tools allowed – we need to see your real level.
📞 2. If your writing meets B1 level
We’ll invite you to a 15-minute call to confirm your level and answer your questions.
If your writing is not yet ready, we’ll recommend the right B1 course so you can prepare and try again next semester.
🗣 6. Speaking is practised separately
Several lessons focus only on:
• exam-style questions
• structuring your responses
• correcting habitual mistakes
• speaking with confidence
🤓 3. Join a small group of 6 students
You’ll work in one focused, motivated group – everyone preparing for the same exam.
PHASE 2 – Exam preparation
🎧 7. Listening & reading are done independently
We’ll give you sample tasks and recommended materials.
You complete this part on your own time.
📚 4. 26 structured preparation lessons
Two 90-minute lessons each week.
You’ll work on:
• grammar needed for exam tasks
• writing structures and models
• speaking practice with feedback
• exam-style exercises
🎯 8. Finish with a full mock exam
One realistic exam session covering:
• listening
• reading
• writing
• speaking
You’ll experience the real structure and timing – safely.
📝 5. Weekly B1 writing practice
You write one full B1-style text every week.
Your teacher gives detailed corrections and shows you what to improve.
Plan around 90 minutes of homework weekly.
PHASE 1 – Admission
Important Information About the B1 State Exam
⚠️ We don’t conduct the official B1 exam.
This course prepares you for the exam, but the exam itself is organised only by accredited institutions.
You can find official information here: https://certyfikatpolski.pl
⚠️ We don’t register students for the exam.
You must sign up and pay the exam fee yourself. Please make sure you register early if you want to take the April 25–26, 2026 session.
⚠️ You don’t need to buy any extra materials.
We’ll work with tasks from previous exam sessions published on the official website and materials prepared by your teachers.
⚠️ Admission for this course depends on your level.
We only accept students who are already at B1 level.
If your handwritten “podanie” and conversation with the teachers show that you’re not ready yet, we’ll recommend a regular course to help you prepare for exam prep in the future.
Meet Your Teachers
Natalia Machura
Natalia has over 10 years of experience teaching Polish, English, and Ukrainian. She has prepared many learners for the B1 exam and also takes part in official exam sessions, so she knows precisely what the examiners look for and what mistakes students make most often. She holds a Ph.D. in teaching Polish as a foreign language and previously trained teachers at the University of Silesia. Her two big loves? Languages and Polish food.
Agata Rudzińska
Agata has been teaching Polish to foreigners for nearly 15 years and has guided many students through successful B1 exam preparation. She knows exactly which grammar areas cause the biggest problems and how to explain them in a clear, calm way. She previously spent two years teaching in Kazakhstan and now teaches with the help of two cats who love joining her classes. Agata is deeply curious about all cultures – not just Polish.
